Agriculture

Along with a need for water, Niger is in desperate need of sustainable agriculture. Some of the things that make agriculture difficult include long periods of drought, lack of irrigation, lack of crop diversity, etc. Although a multitude of challenges exist, Hosanna is fighting to initiate new practices and practical solutions in order to boost the economy and work towards food security. Hosanna has implemented drilling water wells to provide irrigation, education on dry season gardening, establishing food banks across the country and facilitating goat/livestock programs.
